Overview:
Kurosaki Ichigo is not a regular 15 year old, because he has always had the ability to see spirits and ghosts. One day, a female Shinigami (God of Death) named Kuchiki Rukia appears before him, hunting for an evil spirit. But during the confrontation, the Shinigami’s powers are transfered to Ichigo. Thus begins the adventures of Ichigo and Rukia and their mission to herd Hollows (fallen spirits) as well as confronting other spiritual beings.

seriously guys, this series is about average. memo definitely knows what’s up. If you do think this series is totally amazing, it is highly likely that you haven’t watched very many other anime series, or that you are in a reasonably young age group that can overlook mediocre plot as long as there is good action.

series is above average! its a good anime with a good plot. Yes there are better anime out there but not to many that can compete with naruto, i would say it not on its level but cause the show is completely different. well Where im getting at is that i lovee the show and its in my top 20!! most of my top 20 are 5/5.

Its nice, but not great. The best part is the first episodes, then it gets average (and the fillers, omg so many fillers!) I can’t stop it because i wanna see how it ends (altough I already know the bad guy will not win) and I loooooove Kenpachi. Overall not bad but not worth spending hours watching the 200+ episodes.

ok seriously…have you guys watched ANY of the weekly recommendations? There is a very good reason that neither Naruto or Bleach have been in there as of yet. Yes I have and am still watching both; but would I recommend someone watch these that hadn’t even started yet? no. I’m not sure if we are allowed to post direct links, but I will say this. Search for “them anime reviews” sort by rating and watch as many of the 5 star ones as you have time to…then you will know what good anime really is.

A good series, nothing more to be honest, the plot gets good and then just vanishes (a problem with most 100+ episode anime). In regards to other anime it really lacks any kind of firm plot due to alot of fillers (which generally come out of nowhere an awful lot) It is a good action series however and if you like sword fighting anime this is probably for you. I have watched all episodes up to date so far but it’s the worst of all the big Anime series.

Opinions are subjective, and this is a poor place to argue about them.
Like many 100+ shounen series, after a point, this show’s plot starts to fade to the background. It’s still entertaining, it just lacks interesting story developments. Most of the characters are likable, it has a fair share of consistent humor, and the action and music are both typically good. I didn’t stick with it long, but if you like shounen action shows, it’s definitely worth a look.

The good:
— The first 100 episodes until the batle with byakuya are great with nice events and battles
— Animation is very good
— Nice character design and use
— Some battles can be good [good action anime]
— Funny moments can make you laugh
– It can give a good example on how to deal with evil ( to kids most )
The bad:
— The plot just vanish
— Story gets repetitive ( I’m not talking about fillers here)
— Characters get suddenly overpowered without explanation
— Mooooooore fillersss wiith mooooooore hitsugaya ! srsly I liked this guy once :S
— Music is bad :/
– Use of filler characters is real story WTF !
— in the anime just to delay it , many times things gets boring and tiring (e.x: I will use my secret move to kill you , Yes , but I will use my other secret move ! yes but i have another ace in my sleves ! GET TO THE SLAUGHTER ALREADY ! )
— battles rely on brute strength(ONLY) that characters get from… nowhere ?
if there’s more to say about good and bad , just say so
The so talked bleach vs naruto !!: What the hell ? Bleach doesn’t even compete with many anime out there…

the top anime that i enjoy are naruto, bleach, one peice, dgray man, busou renkin, fullmetal alchemist, elfin lied, inyuasha these are not in order though. what i really hate is anime that stop in the fn middle oof the series inyuasha is one which pisses me off to no end. the two things i dont like about bleach are the fillers (which i skip) and ichigo doesnt learn any new zanpakto powers after getsuga tensho i LOVE hollowfication though so i gues it sorta evens it out (not really) as for the lack of plot in bleach i dunno what the plot was supposed to be in the first place except getting more powerful and whoopin azz. my opinion is if you want plot watch something else and stop whining to people who actually enjoy the show, its quite annoying =^] as forthe people above me that say this is for kids who care about action more than plot NO SHT it IS a cartoon japanese or not + im 20 and i still enjoy it (though i am a kid at heart)

As I said, I love this anime since it makes me laugh a lot, BUT, I agree that theres better anime out there. Have you guys seen Code Geass/Code Geass R2?, Clannad/Clannad after story? Hellsing? and a LOT more that I dont mention here because those 3 are of my special favorites. If I had to make a list of my top 20, Bleach would have a position after #10 or so.

I won’t say this sucks, but I have to agree that post soul-society starts getting unimaginative and the plot becomes repetitive (save the other girl that got kidnapped). Also, even though the later battles are almost only a matter of power level, the battles are actually why I’m not rejecting this anime completely, since there is NOTHING ELSE going on.
I’d say Bleach deserves a 3.5/5

Bleach is great amine if you take out all the fillers. Alot of you that says the story lacks a plot want the same plot from beginning to end. You can’t have that especially when there is 200+ episodes. They have different plot for different segments.

I don’t want to be killed for trying to be a peace maker here but both parties have a point. If Bleach is the greatest or best anime, then everyone wouldn’t mind watching. And if Bleach was so average then it probably wouldn’t still be running and people wouldn’t flock to stores for their DVD’s, Game’s, Plushies, etc. Every anime is appealing to someone, not everyone. IMO Bleach has some great moments, but then I just lose interest or hate certain characters.

I vote this 1/5 it sucks balls in one of the movies they never used their swords, instead they used magic and the battles were 1 hit K.O.’s WTF? no fun right there. Not enough action in this anime. The only real action is One Piece!! Yeeeaaah x] Naruto is cool too :p

Kenpachi and Kon. Everyone else is boring. I agree with “TheEphemeralknight”(30). everyone has different interests. I don’t like this anime due to everyone winning their fights because they get some freakish power when they are about to get owned. If you watch Shikamaru/Sasuke in Naruto, you will say “OMFG?!!?! NINJAS!!!”. And never watch bleach again (maybe).

Might be something to do with preferring seinen, as well.

i have to say the people saying this series is the ‘best’ are stupid… and the people saying its the ‘worst’ are also stupid, theres no such thing as best or worst its a matter of opinion everyone has different tastes some people prefer lots of fights and what not and other prefer romance,
on the other hand my opinion on this series is its ok i would say a 4/5 ive seen better that arent mainstream like fairy tail, katekyo hitman reborn, and gun x sword (theres more i just dun feel like listing them) i personally think there are many other animes that are so much better than this even though theres a plot (that most people dont notice) and it isnt just straight fighting.
p.s. when they train they dont become overpowered they become on-par with the opponent which still sucks they should get beaten down more than once like against ulquiorra he got hit once and wouldve died if orihime didnt come in then suddenly after like 1 1/2 battles he can suddenly take ulquiorra on (till ressurection) thats just plain stupidity

Great series is what i would be saying if i never saw fma code geass hellsing blood x to be honest the whole reason im such an anime fan is the because of bleach but only because the save rukia season was interesting after that painful fillers the bount saga was okay but then it just got stupid >.> glad were in the final arc of bleach(i hope)
