Overview:
In this world, there exists the power, its boundaries seemingly limitless.Alchemy, also known as Equivalent Exchange, works under the principle of understanding the foundations of the world, remaking them into something else, equal in cost.
Some call it science, some magic, some believe it to be miracles. However as powerful as it is, Alchemy still has boundaries one must not cross.
Having lost their mother, the Elric brothers have violated the biggest taboo – “The Human Transmutation”. As a result, the younger brother, Alphonse, lost his entire body, his soul now bound to a huge armor suit. The older brother, Edward, lost his arm and leg, now having them replaced with mechanical prosthetics – Automail.
Having nothing to lose, wishing to regain what they lost due to their sins, the brothers, one of them now bearing the title “Fullmetal” and National Alchemist title, set out to find the mythical Philosophers Stone, rumored to destroy the boundaries Alchemy has.
However the road they chose is neither short nor easy, thanks to the existence of mysterious forces, working behind the scenes. Conspiracy behind the scenes, the powerful wish for revenge from those oppressed long ago, the echoes of tragedies caused by alchemy – all those things threaten to, yet again, bring the pain and suffering onto all who are alive.
However, through the hardships and tragedies, while in despair and hope, the brothers still move on forward towards their goal, thought to be unreachable.

Just a remake, but this one follows the original storyline (from the mangas) more than the original anime serie did. (Thats what I was told, I didnt read the mangas)

This serie is a disgrace 2 anime in all kind. Exept the graphic, well the story goes on about a small guy who cant fight and his brother who actully livs in an armor without any organs.

pay respect to the creators of any anime and just try yourself to make a better one if you dont like this and despise it.. just be thankful that exist people in this world that are creative and brign joy to our lives.. cause you dont
apparently you havent seen all of the anime and say stuff like lives in an armor with no organs etc etc… try it:)

Disgrace to anime?? LOL, he cant be serious XD Its totally the opposite! FMA (espacially the first original Fullmetal Alchemist) is a masterpiece of anime. If you dont like this, I wonder what kind of anime you watch… And btw, the small guy can fight and his brother (spoil for the first episode!!) lives trough the armor, his soul attached to it.

My favourit anime, it has action, a little romance and it is drawn very well. I have watched the original serie, The Movie and now Brotherhood. I also read the manga, Brotherhood folows the manga alomst perfectly… not in detail but its alot alike. I really think it is very original since I never heard of anything like it. This serie is really something you have to watch, or else you can’t call yourself a anime-/mangafan. HAHA.

This is a great anime series – although it doesn’t have as much of the slapstick humour seen in the other 3 big anime (Naruto, Bleach and One Piece) its got a far greater storyline which is deep and intellectual (And it can be a hillarious show quite often). If you arent aged 10 then this along with the original series is a must watch
