   this is just a detailed story that the manga either chose to not put in or forgot to put in
   when they were capturing the sanbi (three tails)

   Even if these are fillers, they should make them more serious. Tire of seeing high lvl ninja battles followed by Naruto and others making big deal over piss ant ninjas..

   Then whats with naruto needing clones to jump, ninjas can jump really high and walk on walks, why don’t they do any of that when they need to.

   Hmm… Time for Naruto to grow up a little and become a bit more of the bad ass he can be.

    This is indeed a filler, but they’ve done us a favor and made it slightly relevant – after this Arc, Deidara captures the 3 tails.  In the manga, they didn’t bother to show this fight (as in it actually never happened).  Gives some pseudo-depth while at the same time allowing the manga to progress so we can have more canon episodes.
