Overview:
The second incarnation of the very popular NARUTO manga. This anime features Part II of the manga storyline which takes place two years after the events at the end of the Sasuke Retrieval arc (Episodes 107–135) of the first TV series.
The story revolves mainly around Uzumaki Naruto’s and Haruno Sakura’s new adventures and their search for Uchiha Sasuke after he left Konoha-gakure (Leaf Village) to gain Orochimaru’s power. The plot also shows a more active Akatsuki in their quest for obtaining all the tailed beasts.
After his failed attempt to retrieve Sasuke, Naruto learns that circumstances have granted him slightly less than three years to prepare for a confrontation with Orochimaru, who has to wait that much time before he can transfer into Sasuke’s body. Naruto also must prepare for his eventual confrontation with Akatsuki, who are after the demon sealed within him. To prepare, Naruto leaves the village and undergoes intensive training under Jiraiya. At the same time, Sakura becomes Tsunade’s apprentice, and Sasuke trains under Orochimaru. Thus, all three members of the original Team 7 are now training under one of the Legendary Sannin.

ok whomever said that it was/is the best CARTOON ever should die…anime does not equal cartoon. That is the very reason that most people have a negative stereotype of anime. Naruto in all honesty deserves about 3 out of 5 stars. I have trouble believing that most people that voted have very much anime experience behind them. If you people would even go so far as to watch all the weekly recommendations then many of you would realize that there is much more to anime than naruto/bleach/dbz

Suic, naruto manga as you know is undoubtedly the No.1 manga in the world.
Get some fillers out , and here you go ! One of the best anime series ever. ( I’ve watched countless anime for years to say that
)
I can come up with a good and bad list if ya want , but i gotta go right now.
bleach and dbz are average I’m not so sure about dbz though but.. Naruto is faaaaar better…

Naruto WOULD be a great serie if there wasnt fillers and if the fights didnt take hours… I remember an episode where all they did was remembering the past (training, feelings, motivation, etc.) and one single punch was given. Cmon, is this a shounen or what? Resume all 300+ episodes into 50 or 60 and yes its a great anime.

Being the No. 1 selling manga means nothing really (especially since I’m talking about the anime not the manga). Being popular and being good are two completely different things! Summer blockbusters generally do better than any other film type based on box office sales, but does that mean that anyone considers them to be decent memorable movies?No. The only way I could truly agree that it is one of the better series is if it got the dragonball kai treatment…cut the massive amount of crap out and leave at the very most 100 episodes. Since that isn’t likely to happen, it is only an average anime at best

Suic come on man, be rational. So u want us 2 watch all the weekly recommendations. Well that seems like a good idea NOT. Prince of Tennis (this serie u could call cartoon if u want, damn cartoon network cartoon). Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (all go crying THE WHOLE SERIE cause one of the main caracther dies at start, made me wonna kill myself with a beercan). Yakitate!! Japan (do i really need 2 comment this one?).
2 short things out, all of the recommendations arent all bad. But dont go and say that an anime that have survived over 300 episodes and are one of the top animes in the world suck. And scruw u, Being the No. 1 selling manga means EVERYTHING

First off, I gotta point out that overall, One piece has much more sales than naruto. Second of all, I kinda agree that naruto is an Okay anime for all the reasons said above, but it’s not bad, if you take out the useless crap that are fillers. 3.5/5 for me

@Pingvinbot: when did I ever say watch ALL of the recommended. You should use your judgment to decide which genres and series are right and wrong for you. I myself don’t like all of the weekly recommendations. The point was that within the weekly recommendations, there are many examples of anime that are much higher quality than Naruto. Naruto sells so much because it is targeted to a younger audience, which also happens to contain the vast majority of the anime viewing audience.

Pingvinbot, I will be rational. Popularity isnt related to quality, it can be an indicator but you cant say that because the majority loves it its good. ”Its not because they are many to be wrong that means they are right”. Its like saying Christianism is the best religion of the world because it has the most adept, or eveyone thinks the earth isnt round (like they tough a few centuries ago)… And having survived over 300 episodes doesnt mean much to me, the best ive seen have 13 episodes or sometimes 26 (Elfen Lied, Death Note, Bakemonogatari, Code Geass, etc.)

haha ya deathnote was great until they made it a flash film…. the jerks
but naruto just needs to end already ive been waiting to see what happens for over three years and im getting slowly tired of it although the pein saga was quite interesting i dont see why he couldnt have revived jariah but it takes three episodes to get them from point a to point b can naruto and mr big bad uchiha pleeeezzzz settle something??

just saw 31 episodes of it and ……….wtf happend to naruto the first one was way lot better in terms of animation and plot development very dissapointing IMO and if i was was waiting for 1 ep for a week id be really pissed, anyways got a question does the series get any good in later episodes or do we still see crapy fillers in EVERY episode

the reason alot of the eps look shitty (graphics) is because dattebayo stopped working on it. dattebayo cleaned up and polished the episodes to make em look sharper with a lot higher quality. since he stopped working on it the animation has been much worse
