This week’s recommendation is the start of a new wave of weekly recommendations for Hidden Anime. As many of you know, Mr. Roboto is no longer doing weekly recommendations. In his absence, we have opened the position to any and every Hidden Anime viewer that wishes to contribute a recommendation. The process is pretty simple. Each week, we will be accepting recommendations here. If you want your recommendation to be eligible for next week’s User recommendation, be sure to submit no later than Thursday the 15th of April.
Congratulations to our first User Recommendation of the week Winner, Aethandor and his recommendation of Zero no Tsukaima.

This is the story of a regular Japanese high school student named Hiraga Saito, and his misfortune of being summoned as a familiar by the Tristain Magic Academy’s very own, Zero Louise. Why is she called Zero Louise? Because her total success rate for magic so far is, well, zero. But the question appears, “whose misfortune is it really.” Looking from Louise’s view, she just gave it her all to summon the most powerful familiar possible, and all she got was a normal boy falling from the sky. The very first episode of this three season anime will suck you in hook line and sinker.

With a great plot and well balanced characters, this anime definitely takes the cake. Not to mention it has the perfect mix of romance, action, comedy, and drama. And of course, all epic anime deserve an epic harem.
Even the extras in this anime don’t feel like an extra. They add just as much to the story as the main characters; although that is exaggerating a bit, I back it with my review. Especially a must see for all fantasy lovers out there. Even if you think that fantasy and magic isn’t your thing, this anime is worth checking out. The only thing bad about this anime was the fact that it had to end eventually. I would easily rate this anime a 9.99/10 (i wants moar episodes)..

I really liked the first season, but in the second season, they really poured on the Ecchi. Saito isn’t nearly as much of a pervert in the first season as he is in the second, so it’s a tad awkward (for me, at least) to see the abrupt character change. It’s not just Saito either. But still, it is a great series, and the second season does get more focused later on. (<- has yet to watch the third season as of now but is looking forward to it.)
